JCF Mentorship Program

JCF mentorship program - COhort 2

With a desire to offer ongoing professional development and connection, the Jewish Community Farming (JCF) leadership has developed a mentorship program.  The program will link seasoned professionals with those looking for support and guidance in the various responsibilities relevant to Jewish community farming organizations. All mentors/mentees must be staff or board members of a JCF organization or emerging JCF organization. 

Mentors or mentees can seek or offer support in areas including:  farming, supervising staff, fundraising, marketing, education, programming, HR, budgeting and more.


Participants will be expected to:

  • Commit to meeting at least once/month throughout the program (November 2021 - April 2022)

  • Give the time for uninterrupted active listening and support during calls 

  • Provide context and relevant information to one another regarding work experience 

  • Set clear and achievable goals and objectives for the program


Calendar of Events

  • October 22nd  - Applications due 

  • November 1st  - Meet-and-Match virtual gathering

  • November 8th - Mentors/mentees notified of JCF Mentorship Program matches!

  • November  16th - JCF Mentorship Program virtual launch event

  • November - April - Mentors and Mentees actively meet (either in person or virtually)

  • April  - Closing of JCF mentorship cohort 

 

Mission of the Jewish Community Farming field (JCF)

The Jewish community farming field integrates Jewish experiential education with agriculture in order to cultivate community, promote environmental sustainability and food justice, foster opportunities for meaningful spiritual engagement and personal growth, and strengthen Jewish life.
